M. Maxine Ford

M. Maxine Ford, 97, of Springfield, passed away at her home, Friday, September 9, 2011.

She was born in Girard, IL August 14, 1914 the daughter of Herb and Mabel England. She married Vernon Patrick and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Herb England, a sister, Marthaleen Branham, and a grandson, Craig Gilbert. She later married Wilbur Ford, and he survives.

She is also survived by her son, Phill (wife Pat) Patrick of Loami, IL, her daughter, Jean Ebbersten of Springfield, four grandchildren; Tracy (companion Bob Pennock) Patrick of Raymond, IL, Andrea (husband Jim) Conlon, Gayle (husband Britt) Edwards, and Patrick (wife Debbie) Gilbert, all of Springfield, and 9 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ford worked for many years at the Bressmer's Department Store. She later worked as a secretary for North American Van Lines.

Arrangements for Mrs. Ford are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL, where visitation will be on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 9 am until time of funeral services there at 10 am. Rev Vaughn Beeman will officiate. Burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL.
