M. Willene Gregory

Willene was born September 11, 1947 in Monroe, TN, the daughter of Orman and Ina M. Witt Jackson. She married James Gregory on December 22, 1969 in Granite City.

Willene graduated from Granite City High School in 1967 and was employed as a teacher at the Granite City School of Beauty Culture. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jefferson City, MO and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and arts and crafts, but her greatest accomplishments were being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and counselor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Annastasia Dusablon; brother, Robert O. Jackson; and sisters, O. Geane Ayers and Vivian Grantham.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Gregory of Springfield; daughters, Kimberly K. (husband, Gary) Castelli of Collinsville and Micah (husband, John Dusablon) David of Springfield; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; twin brother, William O. Jackson of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family ceremonies were held with burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
