Marcella, A. Crickard, 68, of Springfield, passed away on December 8, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield Illinois. She was born on November 7, 1953, in Canton, Illinois to David E. Hills and Shirley M. Shawgo. Marcella married James Crickard on May 1, 1976, in Springfield and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2014.
Mrs. Crickard is survived by one sister Glenda Sharpe, one brother Kenneth Hills, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son David J. “DJ” Crickard.
Marcella graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1971. Marcella retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, shopping, crafting, and watching Hallmark movies and HGTV.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday December 12, 2021, at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until the time of service Sunday at Bisch West.
