Marcella W. “Sally” Lucas, 86, of Springfield, died at 3:15 a.m. at St. John’s Hospice. Marcella was born August 11, 1918 in Springfield, the daughter of Charles and Clara Rabenstein Wetterer. She married Allen Lucas, Sr. and he preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Marcella is survived by one son: Allen T. Jr. (wife, Rhonda) Lucas of Springfield; three grandchildren: Trisha Lucas of Springfield, Brian (wife, Valerie) Lucas of Gurnee and Mark (fiancé, Jennifer Lia) Lucas of St. Louis and several nieces and nephews. Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Blessed Sacrament Adoration Chapel, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield with Rev. David J. Hoefler celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Home, 3306 S. 6th St. Rd.
