
Margaret J. ''Peggy'' Paul, 76, of Springfield, died at 1:13 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2001 at St. John's Hospital. She was born October 9, 1924 in Jerseyville, Illinois, the daughter of William P. and Ester Worthy Ryan Jr. Mrs. Paul worked for St. John's Hospial as a administrative secretary for 26 years retiring in 1986. More recently she worked St. John's Employees Credit Union, part time. She had sat on the Board of Directors for St. John's Credit Union and Sangamon Valley Chapter of Credit Union, along with St. John's Hospital Retirees board. Mrs. Paul also was the editor of St. John's Retiree's Newsletter. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy in 1942 and Licoln Land Community College in 1987. She was a member of St. Cabrini Catholic Church , a Lay Associate for St. Francis Convent, and a volunteer for Children's Miracle Network. She was preceeded in death by her parents and one son, Robert Paul in 1999. Surviving are three daughters, Joy Ann (Husband, Thomas) Bull of Chula Vista, CA, Mary Sue (Husband, Thomas) Sours of New Berlin, Linda (husband, Carl) Mayes of Springfield: two sons, Harry W. (wife, Barbara) Paul of Glenarm, IL, John P. (wife, Dawn) Paul of Springfield, two sisters, Billie Marianne Huber of Eureka, CA and Patricia Wrincik of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family of Peggy Paul is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 South 6th St.where friends may call from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday February 12, 2001 with the wake service at 4:00 p.m. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will at 10:00 a.m. tuesday, February 13, 2001 at St. Cabrini Catholic Church, the Rev's. Rodney Schwartz and John Titus officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Children's Miracle Network, 400 North 9th Street, Springfield, Illinois 62702.
