Margaret ''Peggy'' Ann Sheehan

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Sheehan, 75, of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2001 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Chesterfield. She was born June 24, 1926 the daughter of Francis and Josephine Mahoney Hergenrother in New Berlin, IL. She married Stuart Sheehan in New Berlin in 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1999. Mrs. Sheehan graduated with a degree in dietetics from Fontbonne College. She was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother. She enjoyed bridge with dear friends, golf, art, playing the piano, and making others smile. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She made this world a better place by her presence. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild: Kevin, and a niece. She is survived by two daughters: Carol (husband, Steve) Pappas of St. Charles, MO, and Marian (husband, Jim) Calhoun of Inverness, IL; a son: Kevin (wife, Jana) of Peoria; seven grandchildren: Jim, Danny, Joe, Molly, Meaghan, Nick, and Nikki; a brother: Edward (wife, Mattie) Hergenrother of Palmyra, IL; one sister: Mary Frances “Bobbie” Sheehan of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2001 with a Wake Service at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2001 with Rev. John Ossola celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Springfield, 120 S. 11th St., Springfield, IL 62703.
