

Marjorie was born on October 28, 1926, in Springfield, the daughter of Arthur Wayne and Mabel Edna (Luttrell) Jordan. She married Robert G. F. Hanner on August 23, 1947, in Springfield. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2010.
Marjorie graduated from Springfield High School in 1943. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ruth Circle. Marjorie worked as a realtor for John B. Clark Realty for 16 years. She was on the Illinois State Senate Staff for five years and volunteered with her husband at Sangamon Auditorium and Meals on Wheels. Marjorie was a member of Bridge Club of Springfield for over 30 years and became a Ruby Life Master. She enjoyed playing games, especially bridge, reading, Wii Bowling, and traveling. Marjorie had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and always enjoyed a good joke. She had many friends, and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister, June Preckwinkle.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Berberet and Stacy Splain, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Brad and Brian Berberet, Jennifer (Jeff) Roche, and Brittany Splain; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Village Chapel, 4101 W. Iles Ave., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Chaplain Jeff Harter officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
