

Mark Otis Handley, 49, of Springfield, died at 5:12 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2005. Mark was born March 30, 1956 in Springfield the son of Alfred and Olga Rodolfi Handley. Mr. Handley, a graduate of Lanphier High School, worked for Pillsbury from 1982-1991. He then received his degree in nursing from Lincoln Land Community College and began working as a Registered Nurse for St. John’s Hospital ICU and later for McFarland Mental Health Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred in 1995. He is survived by two sons: Taylor and Nicholas Handley both of Springfield; one daughter: Emily Handley of Springfield; mother: Olga Handley of Springfield; companion: Terri Dunn of Springfield; former wife: Robyn Handley of Springfield; six sisters: Marie (husband, Jerry) Bilek of Janesville, WI, Judy Hawks of Sherman, Bonnie (husband, Brian) Altman of Springfield, Barbara Handley of Jacksonville, Linda (husband, Dan) Hawks of Springfield, Kathy Handley of Jacksonville; two brothers: Ed (wife, Becky) and Clint Handley both of Springfield; two aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 4-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
