Mark D. Simpson, 58, of Springfield, died at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at his home. Mark was born January 27, 1955 in Springfield, the son of Walter "Buck" Boyd and Eleanor Wilson Simpson. Mark was a 1973 graduate of Southeast High School and worked as a sales representative for Nudo Products. He was salesman of the year for Nudo and won several other awards. Mark had played in several local bands, including Picture This and Salt Creek. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed attending concerts and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Archie Simpson. He is survived by his son, Austin K. Simpson of Springfield; and several cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, with Tom Knox officiating. Burial will follow at Woodwreath Cemetery.
