Mary Elizabeth Beck

Mary Elizabeth Beck, 95, of Springfield, passed away on May 9, 2023 at the Villas of Holly Brook. She was born on May 2, 1928 in Nebo, Illinois to James Fountain Doil and Edna Saphronia Hubbard. Mary married Robert L. Beck in Springfield on January 18, 1947 and he survives.

Mrs. Beck is also survived by her children: Robert L. (companion Kathleen McKeown) Beck, Karol S. Van Pickerill, Gail A. (Kevin) Danenberger and Shaun P. (Cynthia) Beck, six grandchildren: Ryan, Jordan, Elizabeth, Sarah, Kelsey and Patrick and seven great-grandchildren: Rylan, Aiden, Nolan, Andrew, Cooper, Maggie and Willow. She was preceded in death by an infant son Gregory L. Beck.

Mary ran the family construction business B & M Builders with her husband Robert for thirty years. She and Robert wintered in Largo, Florida for forty four years. Mary enjoyed golf and socializing with friends and family and she was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church.
