Mary Louise Bernardi, 85, of Springfield, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Regency Nursing Care Residence. Mary was born February 16, 1926 in Spring Valley, the daughter of Warren and Loretta Dorman Lathrop. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Frank Bernardi; son, Thomas Bernardi; one sister and one brother; and parents. She is survived by her children, Susan (husband, Raymond) Stensgard of Brussels, Belgium, Daniel (wife, Tracy) Bernardi of Rockledge, FL and Elizabeth (husband, William) Steinhour of Glenarm; grandchildren, William (wife, Kristen) Steinhour, III, Adam (wife, Jen) Bernardi, Alicia (husband, Tim) Gronli, and Preston Bernardi; great-grandchildren, William Steinhour, IV and Alexandra Gronli; and brother, Michael (wife, Alice) Noonan. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:25 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield. Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Rev. Jeff Grant celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
