

Mary Jean England, 82, of Springfield, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Mary was born May 8, 1933 in Strawn, the daughter of William and Francina Kuntz Mellenberger. She married Franklyn O. England on April 21, 1956 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception; he preceded her in death on February 2, 2015. Mary was a rehab care coordinator for the State of Illinois in the Department of Rehabilitation. She served as the bookkeeper for the Springfield Diocese for nine years. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Franklyn J. (wife, Valeda) England of Springfield; one daughter, Rebecca Kelley of Springfield; two grandchildren, Thomas (wife, Leann) Kelley and Richard Kelley (friend, Charmilla), all of Springfield; and two great-granddaughters. Mary's wish was to donate her body for science, prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Memorial Mass: The family will host a Memorial Gathering from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield, with Rev.
