Mary F. McGrath, 86, of Springfield, died at 3:47 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Mary was born March 23, 1930 in Murrayville, the daughter of James H. and Ellen L. McGuire McGrath. Mary graduated from Routt High School in 1948 and earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Springfield College. She was employed with Franklin Life Insurance from November 1949 to April 1999. She was a member of the Church of Our Saviour Parish in Jacksonville and a lay-member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing on the computer. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, George, Paul, Richard, Charles, and John McGrath; and twin sisters, Regina and Sr. Rita McGrath, OP. She is survived by her sister, Helen Fabro of Lake Placid, FL and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday January 5, 2017 at St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Murrayville with Rev. James Isaacson, SJC officiating.
