

Mary Louise Moses, 78, of Springfield, died at 12:46 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. Mary was born August 5, 1926 in Springfield, the daughter of Lewis and Nellie Newton Shelton. She married Robert Moses, Sr., June 22, 1946; he preceded her in death September 24, 2002. Mrs. Moses, a graduate of Feitshans High School, was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Revenue for 41 years, retiring in 1992 as Supervisor of Data Entry. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Lillian Robinson, Elizabeth Ross and Lois Shelton and brother, Robert Shelton. She is survived by son: Robert (wife, Rebecca) Moses, Jr. in Springfield; four grandchildren: Justin R. and Kyle C. Moses both of Springfield, Brandon L. Winters of Norfolk, VA, Nicole Waiters of Chicago; five great grandchildren; sister: Eloise M. Steele of Springfield; niece: Laura V. Springer of Springfield; nephew: Marvin M. (wife, Janice) Jackson, Jr. of Springfield and several great nieces and great nephews. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Herbert Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family of Mary Louise Moses is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
