Mary Elizabeth Owens, 81, of Springfield, died at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003 at her home. Mary was born December 23, 1922 in Froid, Montana the daughter of John and Josephine Winch Forsyth. She married Paul Owens; he preceded her in death. Mrs. Owens was employed by the State of Illinois where she later retired. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three daughters: Susan McHenry of AK, Patricia (husband, Anthony) Leisner of Tarpin Springfield, FL, Joan Roberts of AL; three grandchildren; one sister: Barbara (Husband, Dean) Williams of Springfield, one brother: John (wife, Agnes) Forsyth of ID and several nieces and nephews. Remains were cremated; graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2003 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
