

Mary D. Rose, 87, of Springfield, died at 8:20 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Lynncrest Manor in Auburn. Mary was born January 16, 1918 in Evansville, IN the daughter of Jacob D. and Mermon Lillian Lynch Hanes. She married Henry L. Rose; he preceded her in death October 4, 1972. Mrs. Rose was the office manager for Dr. Larry Richards and a volunteer at St. John’s Hospital. She had also been employed at the Sangamon County Clerk’s office for several years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, James D. Hanes. She is survived by two daughters: Nancy (husband, Charles G.) Woodward and Carol L. Robertson both of Springfield; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Joe Eby officiating.
