

Mary V. "Ginger" (Marconi) Bart, 86, of Springfield, passed away at 12:09 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Ginger was born on August 3, 1929 in Sherman, the daughter of Frederick and Anne Goleash Marconi. She married William Bart on August 3, 1948; he preceded her in death in 2005. Ginger raised six children, William E. Franklin (deceased), William C. (wife, Judy) Bart, Gloria J. Davis, Janet D. (husband, Joe) Graves, Judith A. (husband, Floyd) Thompson, and Pamela S. (husband, David) Oller. She had 55 grandchildren. Ginger was a lifelong Springfield resident. She worked in various capacities. Ginger was a wonderful waitress, bartender, and restaurant owner; and had worked at Bunn Capital and IGA deli/cook, and as a homemaker. She was also a life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Ginger dedicated her time to the auxiliary for many years. She was the Sergeant of Arms for a period of time, while serving as an auxiliary member. Ginger always enjoyed her Cubbies (Go, Cubs, Go!) and watching ball games. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by five of her children; one brother, Frank Marconi; and one sister, Bonnie Falzone. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
