

Mildred L. "Millie" Anderson, 92, of Springfield, formerly of Williamsville, died at 12: 09 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at St. John's Hospice. Millie was born February 28, 1917 in Union County, KY, the daughter of Isaac and Luella (Yackle) Burlison. She married Jesse L. Anderson on October 3, 1943 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death in 1989. Millie was a homemaker, member of the Order of the Eastern Star #152, and the Williamsville United Methodist Church and Women's Club. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters; four brothers, Albertus, Kenneth, Norman, and Marvin Burlison; four sisters, Nellie Hape, Lillian James, and Mary and Zilpha Burlison. She is survived by her children, Fred (wife, Annette) Anderson of Lanesville, IN, Donna (husband, Ted) Symons of Janesville, WI, Sharon (husband, Gerald) Vespa of Springfield and stepson, Leon Anderson; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, Vernon (wife, Diane) Burlison of Cuba City, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 8:00 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremonies will follow the visitation at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Dick Piscatelli officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
