

Patrick Owen Creviston, 82, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Patrick was born September 14, 1920 the son of William Owen and Elizabeth Green Creviston in Breese, Illinois. He married Geneva Pemberton on November 27, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mr. Creviston attended Cathedral School and worked for Illinois State Department of Transportation & Highways. He enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corp and later served in the United States Army. He was a member of 4th Armored division during World War II, prisoner of war in the European Theatre and a recipient of the purple heart. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Disabled American Veteran (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #755 (VFW) and a former member of the Prisoner of War Organization (POW). He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife: Geneva of Springfield; one son: Lawrence Owen (wife, Teresa) Creviston of Springfield; two daughters: Rhea (husband, James) Milburn of Springfield and Lisa (husband, Jeffrey) Krumwiede of Carrollton; four grandchildren; Eric Creviston of Springfield, Joshua, Tanner and Hannah Krumwiede of Carollton; one sister; Alice Dodge of Springfield; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2002. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr Kevin W. Vann celebrant. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
