Paul Jr was born on June 7, 1954, and from that very day, he climbed the mountains of life. Paul was a dedicated member of the U.S. Air Force and was a hero to not only our country, but he took a humble role that meant much more to a smaller division: A family.
Paul met his wife, Carla (Tribut) Dignan at a very young age. And until the very end, preached that she saved him. Together they welcomed four beautiful children into this world (Paul Dignan, Kelley Bean, Leslie Dignan-Moore, and Carl Dignan) and paved their way to success, love, and happiness through life. Working at Air King for decades, Paul was a very proud and hardworking man that swore he knew just about everything there was to know- about everything. Paul was the most devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that a family could have been granted. He taught us all to cherish the thing that matters most in life, family. Our gratitude for those values will forever ring in his memory.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nancy Dignan; his loving wife, Carla Dignan; and his infant great granddaughter, Indra Bonham.
He leaves behind his legacy of family in his siblings; his children, Paul (Dawn) Dignan, Kelley (Seth) Bean, Leslie (Eric) Dignan-Moore, Carl Dignan, and bonus daughter Kella; grandchildren, Kelsey and James Bean, Maddison and Abby Moore, Jordan and Bronson Dignan; bonus grandchildren, Ashleigh Whittom and Justin Hoffman; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Anneliese, and Alivya Bonham; bonus great grandchildren, Jonathan and Michael Whittom; and his sweet pup, Daisy.
Paul was many things in the 71 years of life that he was blessed with, best advice giver, hard worker, best friend to his grandkids, loudest laugher, caretaker to his wife, loving father to his children, biggest jokester, teacher of life lessons, cigarette enthusiast, secret dog lover, sunset watcher, chocolate lover, thrill seeker, hardest laugher, and wisest of all.
Paul passed away on November 17, 2025, late into the night surrounded by his family, listening to his music. He went as peacefully as he could have ever wished.
Paul is forever in our lives. His loved ones are at peace knowing that he is now with his Carla on the beach watching the sunset with a good cigarette and all the time in the world to cherish her.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
