Paula was born October 21, 1968, in Fort Riley, KS, the daughter of Robert and Sabina (Keel) Foster.
Paula was a proud graduate of Lanphier High School and went on to continue her education at Benedictine University. She devoted many years of her professional life to the State of Illinois, working at the Department of Insurance until her well-earned retirement. Outside of her career, Paula’s creativity truly shined. She had a deep love for arts and crafts and possessed a special talent for repurposing and restoring furniture, transforming well-worn pieces into beautiful, meaningful treasures. She found joy in bringing new life to old things, a reflection of her patience and thoughtful nature.
Paula also cherished time spent in her garden, where she nurtured flowers and plants with the same care she gave to her family. Above all, she treasured moments with her grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simple everyday activities, being “Grandma” was one of her greatest joys. Her warmth, creativity, and steady presence created lasting memories that will be held close for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Foster and Sabina & Michael Hughes.
Paula is survived by her husband, Robert W. Clark; daughters, Michelle (Michael) Keefer, Jessica (Kara) Brown, and Taraisa Crosby; six grandchildren, MJ, Gabe, Aspen, Madison, Contrail, and Lorenzo; and brother, Robert Foster.
