Philip L. Graham, Jr.

Philip L. Graham, Jr., 33, of Springfield, died 10:10 am, Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. John’s Hospice. He was born June 17, 1971, the son of Phil and Carol Murphy Graham in Springfield, Illinois. Philip was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Parish School and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1989. He continued his education at Lincoln Land Community Collage and obtained a degree in Computer Science in 2004. He was employed at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, he attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and he was also a member in the SPUG Computer Club in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Marie Murphy and Hugh J. Graham, Jr. and Edith Graham. He is survived by his parents; Phil and Carol Graham of Springfield; two sisters; Deborah Graham of Orland Park, IL and Denise Graham of Springfield; four aunts; Catherine ( husband, Jack) Cavanaugh of Gardnerville, NV, Agnes Mentel of Virden, Helen Murphy of Chicago, Imelda (husband, Roger) Huhnke of Wichita, KS, five uncles: Hugh J. (wife, Sally) Graham, III of Springfield; Don (wife, Pat) Graham, M.D. of Springfield; George (wife, Cathy) Murphy of Virden, Robert (wife, Zel) Murphy of CA, Bernard (wife, Janet) Murphy of Downers Grove, IL, and many cousins. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Kirlin -Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 pm. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2004 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield, IL. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
