Robert Ragan

Robert H. Ragan, 59, of Springfield, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on April 22, 2012 at Capitol Care Center. Robert was born March 15, 1953 in Pensacola, FL, the son of Paul and Pansey Riley Ragan. Robert was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Robert was known for being loving and gentle. In his spare time, he enjoyed model cars, spending time with his family, and monster trucks. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ed Riley and Martin Ragan. He is survived by his companion, Lori Ruyle, of Springfield; four sons, Robert, Nathanial, Joshua, and Jacob Ragan of Springfield; three daughters, Chrystal Ragan of Hawaii, Mareca Bowden of Sherman, and Jenna Ragan of Springfield; seven grandchildren; siblings, Raymond (wife, Rita) Ragan of Virden, Logan (wife, Sherie) Ragan of Lansing, KS, Butch Ragan of Lanesville, IL, and April (husband, Robert) Dambacher of Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
