Ron had such pride in his children and grandson.  I know there are no words that can possibly console you right now.  I am an old high-school friend that lost touch with him for many, many years, only to reconnect again within the last few years.  He was a jewel and I pray God will give you comfort and peace in the months ahead.

I worked with Ron years ago before I retired from the Federal Highway Administration.  A very cooperative person, and he certainly added to the FHWA Illinois Division / IDOT partnership.

We are very sorry about the loss of your Dad.  He was a very good person and both of your parents were very proud of both of you.  We always had such nice times with them when we attended Reserve functions together and later just going out after your dad and Richard retired from the 303rd.

 My sincerest condolences to you all at your loss.  I had the pleasure of working with Ron and Ann when I was in the Springfield IDOT offices. They were such a sweet couple and so very devoted to their family. 

Ron made us all a lot better at our jobs. He studied the Road & Bridge Laws and cited them, chapter & verse, when we posed questions to him and sought direction on Local Roads issues.  He was proud of his job, his service to our country, and mostly, of his family.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Ron was my first boss at IDOT 27 years ago.  I learned alot from him and will never forget him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.

All those days before E-mail!  Hours upon hours on the phone with Ronnie through the many years haggling over IDOT issues.  Both of us being a bit bullheaded, some conversations got a bit heated and testy, but our respect was mutual & our goal was always to do our best for the public who we served.  It was an era when IDOT got things done and done right.

Ron was dedicated to his job but so much more to his family and friends.  I had the privilege to know Ann, his children and siblings.  Even after retirement Ron and I kept in touch with a few visits together & phone conversations. (He loved the pizza here in Ottawa so much, he brought the whole family up north). Even when he was battling his cancer, he found time to phone me to see how I was dealing with my cancer issues.  That's the type of person Ron was. So thoughtful. Nothing phoney about Ronnie as he was as sincere as they come.

I enjoyed working with Ron and Ann.  We essentially experienced our children growing through stories we shared.  Their love for each other and for their children was clear and refreshing.

As much as I appreciated his fellowship, I was impressed by the interest and energy he put into his job.  Frankly, I think he made me a better lawyer.

I'll miss you, Ron (and Ann).

Ron was such an amazing man and will truly be missed. I will always remember sitting in his house with my parents while he went through his photo albums of his time in Japan. :) Loved hearing the stories and seeing him smile as he remembered little things about each photograph.  My thoughts and prayers are with Ron's family and friends.

I'm sorry to learn of Ron's passing.  He and Anne were inseperable-they are now together, forever.  I worked with them both at IDOT for many years. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I was so sad to hear of losing Ron.  I worked with him at IDOT and he was always telling me stories and making me laugh.  I loved the relationship him and his wife had.  He always talked about his children and were so proud of them.  He will be truly missed.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ron when I worked for IDOT.  He was always smiling and laughing, we had a good time visiting when I was in Springfield at the Central Office.  It has been 11 years since I retired, but I still vividly remember him.  He will, indeed, be greatly missed.  I'm truly sorry to hear about his passing.

I was just thinking of Ron the other day, wondering how he was doing.  The last time I saw Ron he was driving through my subdivision and stopped by to say hello.
