

Ross Harold “Todd” Dunlevy, 80, of Springfield, went home to our Lord on Thursday, October 16, at his home with his loving family at his side. Todd was born in Lincoln, IL the son of the late Ross E and Lavina (Krusz) Dunlevy.
Todd married the love of his life Shirley Logue on May 16, 1959 at Little Flower Church in Springfield. He proudly served our country in the Air Force from February 6, 1953 – February 1, 1957. During his service to our country Todd earned the honor of Airman of the Month in March of 1956, at Bryan Air Force Base in Texas. He served as an Electronic Instrument Trainer Repairman in the 3530th Pilot Training Group. After his service to our country Todd worked for Eaton Corp. in Lincoln, IL for 31 years. He was a longtime member of the American Legion post # 32 on Sangamon Ave., a little league coach for many years, and an avid NASCAR, Cardinals, Bears, and Illini fan. Todd was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving Todd is his loving wife of 55 years Shirley, his children: Linda (Bob) Myers of Athens, Steve (Linda) Dunlevy of Springfield, Ken (Sue) Dunlevy of Sherman, and Cheryl (Pat) Holcomb of Springfield, 12 grandchildren: Michelle, Lindsay, and Christopher Dunlevy, Jannelle Myers, Joseph Dunlevy, Brandon (Jessica) Myers, Nick Dunlevy, Patrick Holcomb, Jennifer (David) Kruse, Jeremy (Rachael) Holcomb, Drew Dunlevy, and Jessica Holcomb, 4 great granddaughters and 1 great on the way, his sisters Frances (Herb) Duerr and Dorothy Hamrick, his brothers Byron (Penny) Dunlevy and Frank (Dee) Dunlevy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bisch & Son Funeral Home 505 E Allen St Springfield, IL 62703, is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 19, from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Dave Boswell will be on Monday, October 20, at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be performed.
