

He was born on Dec. 21, 1921 in Kiev, Ukraine the son of the late Joseph and Bella (Lev) Brodsky. He married Fania Rosenbaum on June 24, 1942 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2012.
He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1992.
Mr. Brodsky was a very prominent graphic designer. As a World War II Soviet Air Force veteran, he participated in the liberation of the Soviet Union and European countries from Nazi occupation. He was a member of Temple B’rith Sholom .
He is survived by a daughter Irina (husband Valeriy) Brodsky , a son David (wife Alla) Brodsky, both of Springfield, 4 grandchildren, Boris, Eliot, Tanya, and Timothy, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother Boris Brodsky, and a nephew Vlad Brodsky, both of Springfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at Temple B’rith Sholom. Services at 12 Noon officiated by Rabbi Michael Datz A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
