Stanley E. Fishman, 92, passed away on March 8, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois. Stanley was born on December 11, 1931 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Joe and Jean Fishman. Stanley was a graduate of Springfield High School and Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. Stanley was an Army veteran who served in Europe.
He was a junior high school teacher in Springfield and Skokie, Illinois. He was predeceased by his cousin Lois Yaffe Lesser and is survived by his close cousins, Sue Yaffe (Morton) Lewis and Daniel, Renee, and Douglas (Jamie) Lewis and Courtney, Jake, Arielle, and Brianna Lewis. In lieu of flowers, please remember Stanley to the Jewish Federation of Springfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:45 am at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
