

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Gresham; his brother-in-law, Danny (Vicki) Stuber; nephews, Kevin (Kathy) Gresham and Andy (Niki) Stuber; nieces, Jennifer (Dave Feeney), Sarah Stuber, and Carrie (Chris) Stuber; and several cousins.
Stu was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Rodney Gresham; his brother, Gary Gresham; his sister-in-law, Janet Gresham; and his nephew, Jon Stuber.
Stu graduated from Bradley University. He served in the Army National Guard for eight years. Stu worked for the State of Illinois for 37 years, going from Deputy Director of Personnel to Chief Auditor of the EPA. Stu and his wife, Pat, also owned and operated Chapter One Bookstore at Fair Hills Mall for 27 years. Stu was the best husband and father anyone could have.
Stu was active in the Masonic Fraternity for over 50 years. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lodge #500 AF & AM. He was a 50-plus year member of Ansar Shrine, serving as treasurer for 21 years and a member of Ansar Patrol for 50-plus years. He was a member of Court 20 Royal Order of Jesters, serving as Director in 1990 and Empesario of Court 20 for 13 years.
A visitation will be held on Monday November 17, 2025 from 10:00am until 10:45am at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. A masonic service conducted by St. Paul’s Lodge #500 AF & AM will begin at 10:45am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00am Monday at Bisch West. A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday November 18, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and condolences may be left at www.bischfuneralhomewest.com.
