Thomas W. Carlin, 52, of Rushville, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 30, 1965 to Juanita Jurgens Carlin. On Oct. 22, 2004, he married Ronda (Peterman) McCombs and her two sons. Tom was a loving husband to Ronda and loved Josh and Tomy as his own. Tom was happiest while with his grandkids or fishing with Dale, Frankie and his nephews, or just hanging around a bonfire. He is survived by his wife, of Rushville; his mother, Juanita of Lincoln; a sister, Jatana (Marlow) Lowe of Middletown; sons, Joshua (Olivia) McCombs of Bradyville, Tenn. and Tomy (Jessie) McCombs of Rushville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Shaun and Katy Brosemer, Jayden, Jessie, Jenni, Josiah, Josephine, Hayden, Mayci and Justyce; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
