

Dora Belle Tommie Ingram, 84, of Chatham, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 2, 1932, in Mexico, MO to Oscar Franklin and Dora Eunice Jones Potts. She married Parker B. Ingram March 7, 1953 and he preceded her in death January 4, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe and William Potts; sisters, Helen Bramble, Kathryn Potts, Ailene Schreiber and Jane Edwards; granddaughter, Kailey Ingram. Tommie and her husband were very active members at Chatham United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge and bingo player and enjoyed winning at the Sunrise facility. She was a member of several bowling and pool leagues as a younger woman. As a stay at home mom, she left a legacy of faith based volunteerism. Tommies role as grandmother was spent participating in their lives and making many fond memories. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Kent (Kris) Ingram of Colorado Springs, CO and Kurt (Kerry) Ingram of Springfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Rebekah, Kerby, Konnor, and Kyle; sister-in-law, Betty Potts; several nieces and nephews. Her family will greet friends from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Ceremony at 11 am, Monday, September 4, at Chatham United Methodist Church, 104 West Chestnut Street, Chatham, IL, 62629. Reverend Sara Isbell officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Chatham United Methodist Church. Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL, is serving the Ingram family.
