Twilda Genelle Neal

Twilda Neal, 76, of Springfield, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1927 in Campbell, Nebraska, the daughter of Peter and Louise Genereux Quirin. She married William L. Neal in 1967 in Champaign, IL and he preceded her in death in 1988. Twilda was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church where she also served as a volunteer for several years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother: Delbert Quirin. She is survived by six daughters: Claudia (husband, David) Vinsonhaler of Greeley, CO, Genelle (husband, Tim) Fillenwarth of Sibley, IL, Valarie Arnoldussen of Fort Smith, AR, Eugenia (husband, Brad) Burwell of Omaha, NE, Wanda (companion, Jim Harms) Parbs of Springfield, Lisa Yard of Springfield, step daughter: Marcia (husband, Mike) Schmitz of Springfield, three sons: Stanford Parbs of Lufkin, TX and Michael (wife, Denise) Parbs of Springfield, John Neal of WI, two stepsons: David (wife, Linda) Neal of Broomfield, CO and Jeffry Neal of San Diego, CA, twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, one sister: Bonnie Ellis of Aurora, CO. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2004 at Christ The King Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
