

She was born on December 2, 1981, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Anna Richter. She attended Rochester High School and Robert Morris College.
Vanessa was gifted, incredibly beautiful, and lit up every room she walked into. She loved her children more than anything else in the world. Although Vanessa is no longer bound to this Earth, like her namesake butterfly, she is now free to spread her wings and shine her light for all to see.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; brother, Sean Canavan; and aunt, Kim Rose.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Richter; sons, Sebastian Mack and Jack Ray; sisters, Colleen Dallman and Erin Canavan; two nieces and three nephews, including Seanda and Romeo Sanders; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Ceremony and Visitation: 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield, IL with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. A visitation will follow until 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be limited capacity.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanessa Dallman Memorial Fund for the future of her sons in c/o of Anna Richter.
