She was born in Springfield, September 20, 1953 the daughter of David and Mary Alice (Chapman) Sponsler. They preceded her in death.
Vanetta married Randy Harrell in Springfield, December 1, 1973 and he survives. Also surviving are her two sons, Adam Harrell of Springfield and Andy (Marygail) Harrell of Bulverde, TX. She has two grandchildren; Leyton and Alina Harrell.
Vanetta was a licensed practical nurse serving at Memorial Medical Center for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The Harrell family will greet friends at the Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, from 11:00 Friday, December 21, 2018 until the time of a memorial service at 12 noon. Rev. Manuel P. Cuizon, C.R.S. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2309 W. White Oaks Dr. Suite F. Springfield, IL 62704.
