

Frank was born November 29, 1929, in Springfield, the son of Jesse and Florence Pennock Mazrim. He married Betty J. (Bobbie) Murphy on October 27, 1951, in Springfield; she preceded him in death.
Frank graduated from Cathedral Boys High School in 1947 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local 965. Frank was a member of Christ the King Parish, the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus #364 and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Bishop Griffin Assembly #0201, a life member of AMVETS Post 98, and a past life member and past Post Commander of VFW #755. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy M. Mazrim.
Frank is survived by his children, Terrence F. Mazrim and Gerianne (Rhonda) Mazrim, both of Loami, IL; six grandchildren, Aaron (Melanie) Mazrim, Michael (Leigh) Mazrim, Jennifer (Mike) Block, and Ryan, Christopher (Tori), and Zachary Mazrim; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Lounsberry of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. W, Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Ring officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Department of Defense and the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
