

Wanda Lee Cravens, 91, of Jacksonville, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Heritage Health. Wanda was born on October 18, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Ellen Gaither. She married Clyde M. Cravens on March 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2009. Wanda graduated from Fairfield High School. She was a homemaker raising her family, and later worked for Kerasotes Theatres for 14 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for 45 years, and was also a member of King's Daughters Organization in Springfield. Wanda loved playing bridge and was an avid reader. She also loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always greeted people with a smile, and was a friend to everyone. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Colleen Cravens; brother, Harold Gaither, and sister, Marjorie Huffmon. She is survived by her sons, Curt (Cindy) Cravens of Jacksonville, and Mark Cravens of Marble Falls, TX; her grandchildren, Zachary and his wife Katie, Sam, Ben, Stephen and his wife Jessica, and Sean Cravens; great-grandchildren, Juniper, Oliver, and Jaxon Cravens, and Aubrey Mackey; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation care was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Visitation: The family will be receiving guests at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Ellen Sharp officiating.
