Wayne Henry Edwards

Wayne was born on November 9, 1950 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Wallace Standford Edwards and Allie (McClish) Edwards.

Wayne served in the United States Navy earning honorable discharge, retired from Drury Inn & Suites 2014. Wayne was a quite spoken person and would offer help to all walks of life.

During retirement Wayne enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren especially during the holidays. Wayne enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears games, History and Discovery channels.

Wayne is survived by companion Kathleen Bacon of Springfield, 3 siblings, Lynda Bolden-Flowers, Peggy Edwards, of Chicago, IL, Dr. Michael Edwards of Blue Island, IL, 2 stepsons, Renault and Victor Bacon, 5 grandchildren, Areonna, Nevaeh, Brooklyn, Nasir and Victor Bacon jr., a host of several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Wallace Edwards jr.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL

Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
