Wendy Hutchison

Wendy Hutchison, 67, of Wentzville, Missouri, formerly of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on December 14, 2025 at her residence. She was born on January 18, 1958 in Springfield to Wendell O. Smith and Thelma L. Douthit Smith.

She is survived by her daughters: Angie Crayne and Alexis Miller, granddaughters: Ava Dozier, Abigail Kiehl and Alecia Kiehl, all of Springfield, sisters: Jeannie Lehman of Springfield, IL, Donna Dunbar (Gary) of Wentzville, MO and brother Wayne Smith (Linda) of Estill Springs, TN. She was preceded in death by one son, Adam Miller, her parents and four sisters, June, Barb, Tammy, Elaine and three brothers, Mike, Philip and Steve.

Wendy was mostly a homemaker. After her children were grown, she worked at Mario's Pizza in Chatham for several years where she built close relationships with many of the younger employees who affectionately referred to her as "Mom". She loved to dance when she was younger, often tiring out her partners on the dance floor. She enjoyed her cappuccinos and mochas as she watched Lifetime and Hallmark movies. But most of all, she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her granddaughters, whom she adored.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday December 20, 2025 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Saturday at Bisch West. A graveside service will be held at 12:45pm on Saturday December 20, 2025 at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg, Illinois.
