William "Bill" Greer, III, 69, of Chatham, died at 3:23 a.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at St. John's Hospital. Bill was born February 10, 1946 in Springfield, the son of William E. and Irene Gillette Greer, Jr. He married Josephine Keldermans on May 31, 1975 in Springfield. Bill worked for Bunn Capital as a sales rep for 25 years and enjoyed cars, boating, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Angela Greer. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Greer of Chatham; one son, William (wife, Erin) Greer, IV of Sherman; one daughter, Amy (husband, Billy) Foster of Affton, MO; six grandchildren, Ella, Harper and Forrest Greer, Josie, Silas, and Alice Foster; one brother, Richard Greer of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Private ceremonies were held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 2309 W. White Oaks Dr., Suite E, Springfield, IL 62704.
