

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Lorraine Money Luchino, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the age of 90.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Together they built a home filled with laughter, resilience, and love.
Alice was the proud mother of six children, Tom, Ken and Jim Luchino, Margaret (husband Kenneth) Kochel, Theresa (husband Robert) Sunderland, and Barbara (husband James) Gorlinsky. A devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren Craig (wife Sheryl) Kochel, Candace Luchino, Robert Sunderland, III, Kevin Kochel, Dylan Sunderland, Nicholas and Samuel Gorlinsky who were the lights of her life. She cherished every family gathering, celebration, and quiet moment spent together, always making those around her feel deeply loved and cared for.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and shared them with those around her. Whether she was spending time traveling with friends, painting beautiful scenes, making handmade crafts and jewelry, reading books, bowling with friends, playing cards with the grandkids or casting a line while fishing on a quiet morning. Her artistic spirit and thoughtful handmade creations will remain treasured keepsakes for her family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, 7401 Saint Michael Lane, Annandale, VA followed by a reception at Demaine Funeral Home. Internment at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Rd., Fairfax, VA will be at 2:00 p.m.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, creativity, and togetherness that will never be forgotten.
