nthony “Tony” Russo of Lake Worth, Florida peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 12:12a.m., just minutes past his 86th birthday. Tony led a beautiful life full of family, old friends, new friends, and many, many acquaintances including a great number of folks from the old neighborhood of Cypress Hills in Brooklyn. Tony’s life will be celebrated today and always by many, and most importantly by his wife Judith who he was married to for over 51 years, along with his four daughters, Debbie (Lenny) Toala, Teresa (Alex) D’Angelo , Francine (Dave) Kralick, Patti (Hamid) Rahim and their mother Gerri Russo, as well as Tony and Judith’s daughter Dana Russo (Daniel McGinn-Shapiro), his ten beautiful grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Frank Jr., sisters, Mary, Josie and Terry, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed. Memorial contributions may be made "In Memory of Tony" to the Action on Smoking and Health, 1250 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 2nd Floor, Washington, DC 20036 or online to www.ash.org. Services will be held in both Florida and Virginia. A Funeral Service will be held on May 13, 2019 at 2:30p.m. at Riverside Stanetsky Funeral Home, 7205 W Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33446. We kindly ask that anyone wishing to attend arrive between 1:30 and 2:00p.m. A Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:00 and 8:00p.m. at Domaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151 followed by a Burial Service on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:15 p.m. Anyone who is wanting to join us for the burial is asked to please arrive between 1:30 and 1:45pm at Fairfax Memorial Park, 4401 Burke Station Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032.
