With profound love and heavy hearts, the family of Balbina Ferrufino de Soto announces her peaceful passing on December 6, 2025, at the age of 53, surrounded by those who loved her most. Born on March 31, 1972, in Pila Qucha, Bolivia to Modesta Villarroel de Ferrufino and Ambrocio Ferrufino Lazarte, Balbina was the third of nine children, growing up in a home filled with strong family bonds that shaped her generous and courageous heart.
Balbina remained in Bolivia until the age of 20, when her courage and determination led her to Israel, where she worked for one year. She later returned to Bolivia before eventually making a life-changing move to the United States at the age of 23, all with the hope and vision of building a better future for her children.
She was the devoted wife of Felix Soto and the loving mother of Soledad, Mijael, and Kellan, the three blessings for whom she dedicated her entire life. Every sacrifice Balbina made, every long day, every challenge overcome, was made with her children in mind, driven by a love that knew no limits.
Balbina worked as a compassionate, beloved nanny for many years, caring for children with the same warmth she carried in her own home. After the birth of her youngest son, she became a full-time mother, pouring her heart into raising her family. Her creativity shone in everything she did, from making everyday moments special for her children to finding thoughtful, imaginative ways to care for those around her. She valued education deeply, always believing it to be a powerful force capable of shaping generations to come, and she instilled this belief in her children with gentle guidance and encouragement. She also loved exercising and healthy eating, understanding that good health was essential to living fully and caring for those she loved.
Her faith in God guided her every day. Balbina honored Him with all her heart, living out her beliefs through kindness, humility, and quiet good deeds. She was known for her joyful, silly, and loving personality. A lighthearted spirit who brought comfort, laughter, and warmth into every room she entered.
Balbina leaves behind a legacy of selfless love, deep faith, creativity, devotion, and a lifelong commitment to learning. She touched countless lives with her gentleness and left an imprint on every heart she encountered. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit continues to shine through the lives of her husband and children and all who were blessed to know her.
She will be remembered always with gratitude, tenderness, and immeasurable love.
