She was born August 5, 1950 in McMinville, TN. She was a resident of the Washington area since 1982.
On 18, January 1972 she married John Griffith in Monterey CA. and served with him throughout his Army Career around the world. She was a long time member and officer of the Ft. Belvoir Garden Club. Barbara was also a Bridge Life Master who enjoyed her bridge and her friends.
Survivors include; her husband, sisters; Patricia and Belinda, brothers; Michael and David; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA 22151 on Thursday December 1, from 6 to 8P.M. Her funeral will be held at 3PM on January 5, 2012 at the Old Post Chapel in Ft. Myer, with interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
