Barbara Arnhart Jones

Born in 1927 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Barbara was married to her late husband, Robert “Bob” Jones, for nearly 50 years. Together, they settled in Alexandria, Virginia, where she made her home for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and a well-loved member of her community. Barbara was the heart of her family and will be remembered for her kindness, gentle humor, nurturing spirit, and as a source of constant warmth, comfort, and joy to all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Donald Jones (Charlotte) and Douglas Jones; her four grandchildren, Stacey Croot (Andrew), Tiffany Jennings (Jason), Amanda Wirtz (Brandon), and Robert Jones; and her three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on January 29, 2026, from 6-8pm at Demaine Springfield Chapel. Interment will take place at Quantico National Cemetery on January 30, 2026, at 11:30am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
