Catherine Cuomo of Fairfax, VA passed into eternal life on July 8,2015, at home, surrounded by her children, grand children and son-in-law. She is survived by , her 2 children, MaryAnn Holtmann (David) of Fairfax, VA and Gennaro Cuomo (Kenna) of Warrenton, VA, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Catherine was born in Manhattan, NY and spent most of her life in and around the metro NY area until 2002 when she moved to Northern VA. She worked for many years in the Gertz department store on Long Island. She was a devoted wife to her departed husband Sam for 63 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, affectionately known as YAYA.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 12,2014 from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm. Service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA 22003 immediately followed by the entombment at Fairfax Memorial Park.
