Christine Suskiewicz

Chris was born in Nassau County, NY to Robert and Reckling Renselaer on February 11, 1949. She married Lewis Suskiewicz on June 27, 1970 in Washington, DC. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Nursing (‘69). Chris had many professions in her lifetime. She was a registered pediatric nurse who worked at Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Rehab hospital (DC). She then worked for decades across many roles at King Park Elementary. And she was a full-time dedicated mom. She was heavily involved over her life in dozens of organizations, including Parliament Pool, book clubs, Lifetime Learning Institute, the PTA, NVSL, Women of Wakefield, and much more. Chris was dedicated to her husband, children, and grandchildren as well as helping others.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Reckling Renselaer, and her older sister Lynn Mazur.

Chris is survived by her husband of 55 years Lew. As well as her children Karen (spouse Greg) Brian and Thew (spouse Danielle), brother Bob Renselaer, and grandchildren Emily (16) and Gayle (7).

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12, 2025 at Demaine Funeral Home. Further details to follow.
