FAIRFAX COUNTY FIREFIGHTER (RET.)

Claire “Sonny” Orlando Ducker, Jr., 68, of Annandale, died on July 30, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Claire Ducker. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia, children Sandie Castle, Camden Ducker, Shelby Ducker; grandson, Tim Bell; brothers H.P. Ducker, Steve Ducker, sisters, Gail Jones, Wendy Ducker and step mother Joan Ducker.

Claire retired as a Master Technician from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department after 37 years; he received the Certificate of Valor in 1999 for a water rescue of a person trapped inside a vehicle. He is a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion Post #1976 in Annandale, Va.

Open visitation will be held Sunday August 5 from 11 am – 8 pm, where the family will be present to receive friends between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the DEMAINE FUNERAL HOME, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA; where services will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 6. A procession in honor of C.O. will immediately follow and conclude at National Memorial Park, with a committal ceremony and military honors.
