Frances Hickman-Buckler

Frances Lou Buckler died June 6 in Tampa Florida after a long illness. She was born November 14, 1936. Fran was proceeded in death by husband Jim Buckler and married 25 years and Gene Hickman her first husband also married 25 years, and her brother Jim Armstrong. She is survived by a sister Bobbie Grice, brother Bob Armstrong, 2 sons,2 step daughters, 6 grandchildren, 4 step- grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Fran lived in Northern Virginia for over 40 years. She was caring, fun loving and generous. She loved her family and friends deeply. She was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society and the Beta Sigma Phi Society. She retired from Northern Virginia Community College. There will be a visitation Friday, June 21 at 10 am – Service at 11 am at Demaine Funeral Home 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield VA. Burial following at National Park, Falls church . Donations in her name can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
