

Francis (Frank) Brittain passed away on September 10,2017 in his home in Manassas, VA. He is survived by his wife Lauren, daughter Riley, step-son Nicholas, sister Jacqueline and extended family in North Carolina, South Carolina and Northern Virginia area. He proudly served in the Army and was medically retired as a SGT. He was stationed at Fort Drum, NY and Schofield Barracks, HI and had one deployment to Afghanistan. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, two cats, and his favorite black lab, Diesel. He converted to Catholicism in 2014 and became a Knight of Columbus, 3rd degree, in 2016. He volunteered with Cub Scouts and held the positions of den leader and assistant cub master. He also enjoyed going for long rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was always grilling or smoking meat on the grill for dinner. Lastly, Frank was an amazing athlete and his most recent feat was completing the Ironman, 70.3 Eagleman in Maryland.
