

A funeral mass for Mr. Irin Joseph Ford will be held on Friday, May 24th, 2024 at Demaine Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Interment will be held at St. Richard’s Chapel Cemetery in Marksville, Louisiana at a later date.
Irin Joseph Ford, Jr. was born in Pineville, LA. on February 28th, 1964 to the late Irion Joseph Ford, Sr. and Zelma Theresa Jacobs Ford. His grandparents were the late Clarence Ford and the late Rose Leveige Ford, and the late Abraham Jacobs and the late Louise Augustine Jacobs.
Irin Joseph Ford, Jr., 60 years old of Springfield, VA, passed away on Friday, May 14th, 2024 at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, in VA. He is preceded in death by his Father, Irion Joseph Ford, Sr.; nephew, Timothy James Ford; grandfathers, Clarence Ford and Abraham Jacobs; grandmothers, Rose Ford and Louise Jacobs; aunt, Hazel Milton and uncle Hubert Milton, aunt, Laura Lavallais and uncle Chester Lavallais, aunt, Perline Lavallais and uncle Leroy Lavallais; uncles, Bernard Jacobs and Martin Jacobs, Sr.
Those left to mourn are his wife of 30 years, Eleanor Roberts Ford of Springfield, VA.; mother, Zelma Theresa Jacobs Ford of Marksville, LA.; brother, Entell Lonnie Ford (Elizabeth) of Woodbridge, VA; sisters, Doritha Agnes Abram, Emma Lee Ford and Mary Ann Campbell all of Marksville, LA. He leaves behind a host of relatives and friend, many of whom are from Virginia, D.C., Maryland and North Carolina.
Irin worked for the city of Marksville and Virginia as a fork lifter driver and warehouse manager for 38 years until his death. He was a very hard worker that was dedicated to his job and fellow coworkers. Irin was a hard worker and never missed a day of work or never late. He was a true friend, brother, uncle, cousin to everyone. He met no strangers he was kind hearted and caring to everyone & would make everyone laugh. He was named after his dad for a reason.
His hobbies was cooking, BBQ, cutting his grass, spoiling “Bailey” our spoiled dog. He enjoyed spending time as a good husband to Eleanor, and being a great son to his mom Zelma. He enjoyed hanging out with his brother Entell Lonnie Ford, cooking out, and making jokes. He was a great friend to all of us. His nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews were his heart.
