Of Springfield, on February 24, at the age of 100. Beloved husband of nearly 50 years to the late Hilda S. Weston; father of Sher (Dano), Patti (Mike), and John (Todd); grandfather of Trina (Jenni), Tim (Mel), Leanne (Greg), and Beth; great-grandfather of 4; and he is also survived by his sister Jane.
Jack proudly served in the US Army for 32 years, retiring as a full bird Colonel in 1974. He served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Jack was a long-time member and usher at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale. In his free time he loved golfing, bowling, reading, and crossword puzzles. He was a generous and humble man who was loved by many and will be missed by many more.
Jack will join his wife at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jack’s memory to Army Relief, Catholic Charities, or another worthy charity of choice.
